"I love that I have the opportunity to combine my passion for environmental sustainability and design. Pinnacle has given me the chance to work on building projects that embrace their natural surroundings and still operate efficiently."
Sam joined the Pinnacle team as an associate designer in early 2021. Before this, he worked in sustainability policy and programs for local government after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environments from the University of Tasmania.
A true advocate for environmental sustainability, Sam is interested in design that aligns with this. Including a focus on energy efficiency, reducing embodied carbon, and biophilic design - connecting us to nature and improving health and well-being.
Sam also enjoys creating buildings that please, where the design encapsulates meaning for each client and optimises the use of space. You'll find him wherever there's a technical challenge, especially if it seems unsolvable!
In the office, Sam would most definitely win the award for most colourful socks. Whereas out of hours, his time is spent hiking and cross-country skiing (where you won't find the colourful socks!)
